Big Try-athalon Event - Sunday 22nd June

Dear Members,

This is to alert you and your membership of an event that is taking place this month at The Twickenham Stoop organised by Sport Parkinsons on Sunday 22 June. 

Sport Parkinson’s annual Try-Athlon event to get more people active with Parkinson’s It is an event with lots of things for everyone including family, and friends. It covers a lot of physical activities to try and promises to be an exciting day for everyone.

The ‘Try’ activities are a mix of walking sports, seated and standing exerciseactivities.

The walking sports include:

● Netball

● Cricket

● Tennis

● Rugby

● Football

The seated and standing activities include:

● Shadow/non-contact boxing

● Golf

● Nordic walking

● Table tennis

● Rowing

● Pilates

● Singing

● Dancing

● Static bike cycling

● and many more

There will be an ‘Expert Zone’ where visitors can meet industry professionals including:

● The PDNSA (Parkinson’s Nurses)

● Charities

● Leading tech companies

● Dieticians

● Reflexologists

There will be stage in the ‘Experts Zone’ hosting:

● Latest research projects and developments

● Standing and seated workouts

● A karaoke band for you to sing & dance

● Parkinson’s specific dietary advice

Mayor's Charities 2025-2026

At the draw held on the 4th June the winners were:

Because of the increasing number of entries, I’m pleased to announce that  in the July draw 

and every 3 months after that the first prize will be £100, followed by the usual £50, £30 and £20
